South Melbourne Life Saving Club
A surf life saving club on Albert Park Beach running Nippers, lifesaving training and patrols, with roots going back to 1876.
South Melbourne Life Saving Club is based at 72B Beaconsfield Parade on Albert Park Beach, where it runs Nippers programs for children, lifesaving award training and beach patrols across the warmer months. The club traces its history back to 1876, when it began as the South Melbourne Swimming Club at the old Emerald Hill Baths, making it one of the area's longest-running community organisations.
