PSC Creative College is a higher education institution based in South Melbourne, offering courses across photography, screen media, graphic design and fashion design. Formerly Photography Studies College, PSC has built its reputation over more than 50 years around small class sizes and direct access to working creative professionals. The South Melbourne campus gives students access to professional photography studios, a digital imaging and printing centre, digital laboratories and an information resources hub, along with continual exhibition spaces including the PSC Trace Gallery, which is open to the public and showcases student and alumni work. With a student population of around 300, PSC keeps a strong teacher to student ratio, and a structured mentor program connects students with respected names across the creative industries. Courses range from certificates and short courses through to a Bachelor of Photography, Bachelor of Screen Media and postgraduate study, with both on-campus and flexible online options available for students studying from elsewhere in Australia. Visitors curious about the creative side of South Melbourne can view current exhibitions at the PSC Trace Gallery, a public-facing space that regularly features student and graduate photography and design work drawn from the college's ongoing program of shows.
