Lamaro’s Hotel
A heritage gastropub on Cecil Street dating to the 1850s, known for Melbourne's most-praised schnitzel and a 450-strong wine list.
Lamaro's Hotel has traded on leafy Cecil Street since the 1850s, now operating as one of South Melbourne's better-known gastropubs. The kitchen, led by executive chef Phil Davenport, pairs quality steaks and a widely praised schnitzel with classic dishes drawn from his background at Hugo's and Ku De Ta. An award-winning wine list running to more than 450 labels backs up five separate function spaces, including the Wine Room and an outdoor marquee known as the Birdcage.
