Albert Sailing Club was established in 1948 and is one of the longer-running dinghy sailing clubs on Albert Park Lake, marking its 70th anniversary in 2018. The club operates from a clubhouse at 1 Aquatic Drive, on the lake's southern side within Albert Park Reserve, sharing the precinct with Albert Park Yacht Club and the 1st Victorian Sea Scouts. Club racing runs most Saturdays throughout the year, supplemented by social sailing on selected Sundays and some midweek sessions during the warmer months. Membership categories cover adults, youth, juniors and families, along with a reduced winter associate option, and the club runs a structured Learn to Sail pathway, including a Green Fleet program for newer sailors. Facilities include change rooms with hot showers, a clubhouse with a balcony overlooking the lake, and secure undercover boat storage available to members at set rates. The clubroom is also available for hall hire outside sailing times. Access is via the steel gates at Albert Road and Clarendon Street into Albert Park Reserve, with kerbside parking along Aquatic Drive subject to Parks Victoria fees, and the Route 112 tram stopping within around 500 metres of the club. The club's office and volunteers are generally on site on sailing Saturdays between 10am and 5pm.
