JMC Academy's Melbourne campuses sit in South Melbourne's arts and entertainment precinct, within walking distance of Backlot Film Studios, visual effects house Luma Pictures, Princess Bento Animation Studio and Playside Studios. The Park Street building opened in 2022 and the Bank Street site underwent a full renovation in 2023, giving students access to modern classrooms, a professional recording studio fitted with an SSL Duality console, film and television control rooms, a performing arts studio and rooftop breakout space. Courses span Film & Television Production, Animation, Game Design, Design (Visual Communication), Acting, Music Theatre, Stage Management, Contemporary Music Performance, Audio Engineering & Sound Production, Songwriting and Entertainment Business Management, offered from diploma through to bachelor and postgraduate level. Interviews and auditions for Melbourne applicants are held at the Park Street campus. The South Melbourne location gives students easy tram access into the city - Route 12 runs along Clarendon Street and Route 1 along Park Street, both close by - and the campus is a short walk from Southern Cross Station and the South Melbourne Market. JMC also operates campuses in Sydney's Ultimo and Brisbane, with all three feeding into a shared alumni network across Australia's screen, music and games industries.
