Albert Park Lake
A five-kilometre lake loop three kilometres from the CBD, used for jogging, sailing, rowing and dog walking, and home to the Australian Grand Prix circuit each March.
Albert Park Lake is a 120-acre man-made lake circled by a five-kilometre path popular with joggers, cyclists and dog walkers. Just three kilometres from Melbourne's CBD, the lake supports sailing, rowing, canoeing and kayaking clubs, along with picnic areas, a golf course and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. For one weekend each March, its surrounding roads become the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix circuit.
